Opposite Day is an indie mobile video game where players control Sir Waffles, an unfortunate squirrel(bear?) on his journey to the moon. I'm currently working as lead artist and co-director of the game.
Silly, cartoony, and a bit unnerving.
While the game's aesthetic is designed for children, a bit of an Invader Zim/Adventure Time influence can be seen with some of the (ahem) stranger looking creatures.
No outlines allowed.
Vibrant colors, simple textures, and harshly-defined shadows. Gradients and outlines weren't to be utilized. Straight lines were to be used sparingly.
